MECHANICAL DESIGNER

LPI, INC., an Eau Claire, WI manufacturer of industrial lifting equipment, is expanding its engineering support area and has an opening for a Mechanical Designer.

This is a full-time position, with full benefits, requiring an Associate Degree in Mechanical Design.
Duties will include entry level CAD work, detail drawings, preparation of product manuals, and updating of Bill of Materials.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, experience with AutoCad and Solid Works softwares, and have an overall working knowledge of manufacturing processes.

SECOND SHIFT MANUFACTURING POSITIONS AVAILABLE

LPI, Inc., an Eau Claire, WI manufacturer of industrial lifting equipment, is looking to expand its operations by adding a 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established company and become a member of our production team.
Work hours will be 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

Positions available include:

  • Lead Person:
    The ideal candidate would have experience in job shop turn-key operations involving mechanical assembly, welding, painting, & sheet metal fabrication. Knowledge of manufacturing software systems, MRP principles and previous on-floor supervisory experience is required.
  • Welders:
    The ideal candidates would have previous experience in wire-feed and flux core welding and be state certified per AWS.
  • Mechanical Assemblers:
    The ideal candidates would be mechanically inclined with a strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical assembly. Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Sheet Metal Layout:
    The ideal candidates would be familiar with sheet metal fabrication equipment such as shears and press brakes in addition to being able to fabricate one-off parts. Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Painter:
    The ideal candidate will have previous industrial painting experience within a paint booth setting. Must be familiar with air-assist airless painting equipment and be able to pass a respirator physical.
