Why Consider a Mast Lift?

There are many benefits to using mast lifts, including:

Better Workforce Safety

Mast lifts offer greater safety than conventional options like ladders and scaffolding due to their design features:

  • Rails help provide fall protection.
  • Vertical lifts are more stable and offer a wider footing area than ladders.
  • Precision positioning allows for more ergonomic access to equipment or product, limiting the need to overreach or work at uncomfortable angles.
  • Maneuverability is higher, and there’s no manual equipment relocation that raises the risk of injuries.

Maximized Space

Mast lifts offer a smaller footprint than scissor lifts and boom lifts, and festooning helps keep floor space clear. Custom sizing, smaller platforms and narrow bases are also available to promote high maneuverability in tight areas. These features make mast lifts a viable choice for maximizing available space.

Customizability

Mast lifts can move along up to three axes, allowing for more application versatility. Single-mast lifts can travel vertically, laterally or in both directions, while a double-mast lift adds horizontal movement capacity.

Further customization can create a solution catering to your individual needs. With LPI, you can have a built-to-order mast lift with:

  • Various power configurations
  • Unique shapes to adapt to your facility, task or product, such as full part surround
  • Precise height and reach specs
  • Drivability

Higher Throughput

If you’re searching for a way to boost production efficiency, mast lifts can help — especially when customized for the space and task. A solution tailored for your individual needs supports reduced downtime, while integrated features lessen the potential for wastage.

Additionally, multiaxis mast lifts can be designed for linear travel to any length due to the lower and upper rails. This capability eliminates repeated personnel and equipment relocation, lowering cycle times.

Versatility

Mast lifts support production and maintenance operations across a variety of applications, including:

  • Inspections
  • Paint booths
  • Blast booths
  • Welding and grinding
  • Maintenance and repair tasks
  • Assembly and installation
  • Inventory access from high-rack systems
  • Fall protection and worker safety
  • Wash down and clean rooms

LPI offers an option for trained technicians to assist with the start-up and installation of your LPI industrial lifts which includes training for both your operators and your maintenance personnel. This service is also available after the sale as a refresher or augmentation to your current training or maintenance program. Lifts should be inspected at least once a year, and more often if they’re used heavily or in harsh environments. Key wear items should be checked during routine maintenance, and any parts showing damage or excessive wear should be replaced right away. We recommend following your facility’s safety practices along with the inspection and maintenance guidance outlined in ANSI A92.22 Sections 5.4 and 5.5 to keep your lift operating safely and reliably.

Installation instructions are located in the Operators Manual that comes with your lift system (located in the plastic holder in the operator platform). Lifts should only be installed by qualified personnel. If you have any questions with regard to the installation of your lifts, please contact LPI customer service or call 1-800-657-6956.
