How will you make an impact as a Field Service Technician?
- Engage with Customers: Handle inquiries and requests via phone and email, determining needs and scheduling service trips.
- Provide Accurate Quotes: Gather information on parts requirements, determine lead times and costs, and provide precise quotes.
- Travel for Service: Spend 50-60% of your time traveling to customer sites for service, installation, or warranty work.
- Maintain Records: Follow procedures to enter quotes and orders into our CRM system and create/file field service reports.
- Contribute to Improvement: Offer feedback and recommendations to the sales and engineering departments for product enhancements.
What do we need from you as a Field Service Technician?
- Mechanical Aptitude: A strong interest in and ability to work with new technologies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent at building relationships and communicating effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read schematics and blueprints and troubleshoot issues.
- Hands-On Skills: Proficient in using hand tools for field service tasks.
- Versatility: Capable of working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple assignments.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Preferred: An Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year technical college, focusing on repair and maintenance, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
- Alternative: A demonstrated combination of technical experience and training.
